Day 6, Arrival to Guilin and a way to Yangshuo

We took a night train from Guangzhou to Guilin. We had no problems with buying tickets, but we almost missed our train because of a trouble to find a platform, since nobody around spoke English and all you see on a departure board looked like that

After finally getting into the train we were extremely happy and moreover the train appeared to be very cozy. All the evening we spent watching movies.
Trains seats in China are divided into 4 or sometimes 5 classes - hard seat, soft seat, hard sleeper, soft sleeper and, sometimes, and Deluxe sleeper. We took a hard sleeper which doesn't mean it will be hard to sleep, but rather you will have above you 2 more beds one above another and there won't be any doors that will close your space.

In the very early morning we arrived to Guilin, very green and clean town with Karst mountains around. After visiting two huge industrial cities we finally could breath a clean air.
We didn't manage to see much of the city, because of a Chinese guide which we met close to train station when we arrived convinced us to go to Yangshuo village, around 100 km from Guiling on a bamboo boat.

He gave us a free ride around the city and brought us to see some attractions. Later on we went to a bamboo boat, which was very small and kind of unstable, because the seats were not bound to the boat at all, so one sudden move and you might end up in the water. Together with us in the same boat were traveling a Canadian guy and a German girl. It was totally cool to meet them and great to spend some time and travel with them around Yangshuo. For those Lithuanians who still don't believe name Silke exists, this girl's name was Silke! For real! Some views from the boat

On the way to Yangshuo our guide was made some stops in small villages by the river.

In another small village we stopped to have a just caugth fish for lunch. Actually we could pick a fish between those that swom in a bucket. We chose the biggest! It turned out to be amazingly tasty, still can't forget it's taste.

Our guide was very excited to show us this place because apparently those were exactly the same mountains as on 20-Yuan banknote.

I also want to go there!!!!!!!!!

Children on the photo are very cute =)
And regarding the train schedule: I spent several minutes looking on the photo and trying to find some "regularities". No way! Things seem to be random on the schedule (at least for me)!
