Singapore

Singapore was the only place where we had problems at the border. We even missed our train, because of a strange police woman, who wouldn't let us go because we didn't fill in in some border crossing form the place we were going to stay in. We tried to explain that this address was in my mail box and if we could just have a look in internet we could tell it, which she said was absolutely not possible. But anyway, it wasn't that bad after all, after keeping us for half an hour and asking us plenty of questions about our travel she let us go. She reduced our permit to stay in Singapore till 30 days, while usually it is allowed to stay 90 days without having visa.
When we finally arrived to the city we called Eka who was waiting for us at home. Eka and Yasine live in a very nice place where they rent a 4-room apartment. The apartment was really big and pretty, we enjoyed staying there. A picture of them both taken with our broken but not that desperate after all camera.

Singapore is the cleanest city I've ever seen. Party or mostly it is because of high fines for any simple rule violation such as littering, eating or drinking in subway, selling or importing chewing gum, also dropping the chewing gum, dancing in public, skateboarding, smoking in most public places, public speaking without a permit and so on and so on... Fines are very high, for the most innocent rule violations such as dropping your chewing gum will cost you 475 Euros! That's why Singapore is called the fine city.
We also found an interesting note in Eka's elevator.

In the evening Eka and Yasine took us to see some famous places of Singapore. It is a very important fountain. This lion is a symbol of Singapore!

This picture is taken from the bar on the top of one hotel building, where we had some drinks, took several pictures and went to sleep. We were deadly tired after the sleepless night in the train from Malaysia.

Singapore is a shopping paradise! We spent with Eka the whole day only doing shopping. There is absolutely anything you want and those days you could find very cheap things as there were sales in all shopping malls. Frankly speaking, I wasn't that much into sightseeings in Singapore, it was a a perfect place for doing shopping, buying souvenirs and electronics.

Singaporeans never eat at home. Eka told us it was extremely difficult to find non-plastic dishes for them! Everyone eats in the city. In fact all the shopping malls we've been to has a big space full of small food places where you can find any type of food you like, which is great. You can eat Indian food, while your friends sitting next to you are eating i.e. Moroccan, Japanese or wester food.

Once we ordered sushi to home! Ammmmmmmazing! I am a sushi lover, and this sushi was very very good. I will definitely remember this day!

Yasine had 4 free entrance tickets to the Jurong Bird Park, currently the world's largest bird park in terms of number of birds and second largest in terms of land area with over 9,000 birds.
We took pictures with very beautiful and colorful parrots. The parrot I am holding was big and very heavy, and I had a feeling all the time he wanted to bite me.

Some of parrots in the park were talking. Eka had a really funny conversation with one of them.

We were standing and watching those penguins about half an hour. As some penguins were standing very close to the water and coming closer and closer we were waiting for them to jump into the water and start swimming. It looked like none of those penguins wanted to be first to jump in, so it took quite a while until one of them encouraged himself to jump. After his jump more and more penguins joined him! Those penguins swam so fast in aquarium which wasn't that big, that I was wondering how they don't crash into each other.
