Length really matters?

On the door of a barber shop close to my house I read "men haircut 13 pounds, women haircut from 13 to 20 pounds depending on the hair length". So based on the note on their door it looks like men haircut no matter what length their hair is costs the same! When I entered I saw the male customer sitting with his hair being cut really nicely. I gave some instructions to my hairdresser how I want my hair to be cut, which was very basic thing -just making the length of my hair 4 cm shorter. She finished cutting my hair in less than 5 minutes and said I have to pay 17 pounds! For my simple haircut with much less effort and time than the guy's who probably was sitting there already for half an hour and his hairdresser was still not done with him when mine was done with me, I payed 4 pounds more than he did just because my hair was longer than his. How fair is that supposed to be?!

Not fair at all! Next time you should ask Andrejs to cut your hair... It will be cheaper, I think ;))

Or make the guys work for those 17 pounds. Tell them: "make it the most fashionable style and 4 cm shorter". Also tell the story of your and your relatives lives. If possible include problems with pets.
Or ask which movie they want to see soon and if you have seen it, tell the plot. If you haven't do it next time.

In fact that's rarely the case, if guy has long hair he will either cut about 2/3 or almost all of it.
And I would make a I wild guess that the price depending on hair length is because of the shampoo needed and hairdresser burns more calories while combing the clients hair - so he/she needs to spend more on food; as well long hair screen more light so that you have to spend more money on electricity.

:DDDD Yeah... the hairdresser needs to spend more on food because of more calories he/she has to spend on combing :D It finally all made sense to me, and I won't complain anymore about paying a lot :D

Thanks for advice by the way, next time I go there I will make sure I prepared some stories of my relatives and their pets, I probably will sound like insane, but well that will probably will be better than making Andrejs responsible for my haircut :)
