Sort of a happy end story

I can consider myself very lucky those days. Not only I managed to come to Bolzano when there was a biggest snowfall in 20 years, but also I managed to lose Andrejs' computer in the train. They story kind of has a happy end. I forgot the computer in the train from Verona to Bolzano. I would never imagine it would ever happen to me, how can one forget computer in the train! Impossible I would say! But this small device which I put into black bag and later put next to my seat somehow became invisible when I was dressing up and leaving the train. After a visit and several calls to police station in Bolzano and Brennero (which was the last train stop) resulted in nothing, so lost any hope to find it.

Only when I got back to London on Monday afternoon I received an email with the subject "We found your laptop!". And guess from whom! University of Bolzano! I couldn't believe that! The email said that somebody from train station staff found it in Rovereto, which is much earlier station than Bolzano itself, meaning that my computer made quite a long travel without anyone taking it until Brennero and all the way back to Rovereto! But another thing I am still not sure of is how did they find out that computer should be returned back to me. My guess is that they opened it and saw PDF files on the Desktop with invitation to degree ceremony in university which contained an address and a phone number of university.

Since I am not going to visit Italy any time soon the only problem I am facing now is how to get it back. They refused to give the computer to Philipp who was today in Rovereto and tried to get it back. Apparently they require formal written allowance in Italian. So complicated... it's better not to lose anything...
