Erice is full of domestic animals - dogs and cats. They are everywhere and are very relaxed about people around. Dogs never bark and never come close to smell you.
Those two I see when I walk out from our dormitory.
Some shop owners keep their dogs inside or next to their shops and looks like they don't run away. This dog, for example, who is souvenir's shop owners pet, knows us with Mark pretty well. When it sees us, it runs towards us and walks along with us for a while on the street and then goes back.
This cat wasn't very happy apparently of me taking pictures. I sat down to take a better picture and when the cat saw that, it came closer, and closer, until in bumped with it's head into my camera giving me angry look. Ok, ok, angry cat, no more pictures, I got it!
Yesterday it was quite sunny in Erice and we went for a long walk with Mark. Erice is so small that you can walk around the whole town in 25-30 minutes. I know because i did it several times.

Long time ago people of that region worshiped Venus goddes. There are so many temples, statues, castels, now even restaurants and hotels named after her.
This I think is a part of big Venus castle that I thought was not reachable from Erice. Then I met 2 Chinese tourists whom later I saw on that castle. I really would love to climb it, but since I am with Mark and Andrejs is very busy, I think I won't :(
