Sicilian landscape

We drove all the way from Catania to Trapani, sometimes stopping to enjoy beautiful landscapes. The only thing I regret is choosing to drive from Syracuse to Agrigento by the seaside. The idea of driving along the seaside seemed to us so appealing that we didn't check online if it was really worth it. And it wasn't good at all. The roads were very narrow and sometimes the directions weren't intuitive at all, which made us drive way longer then we've planned. Sometimes between two neighbor towns there was no direct access and we had to drive to some bigger town that would join them. Moreover, while driving along the southern Sicilian coast all you can see is greenhouses.

The most beautiful views we got from inside of the island. And it was so different everywhere! You could see plantations of orange and lemon trees, vineyards, olive trees, mountains, single trees or houses standing in the middle of a field, castles, cemeteries, little villages on the top of the mountains, high bridges and many many other things that made our drive so pleasant.
