Besides being a big tourist trap (I saw many tourists there! Unbelievable!) there also was a boat trip to cross the river to visit this castle. A funny thing about this was that our GPS device when we were driving suggested us take the road which woud lead us directly to this castle, however when we were about to approach that road the road turned out to be blocked and the only way to get to the castle was taking another road which eventually would make us take a boat! (no, no, of cause it's not free!)
Well, not everything is that bad. At least Mark found a little action there. He really liked to ring the bell near the river shore

what guide book were you using?
actually it is Eyewitness tavel guide, the same one that we used for Italy when we were traveling together in Toscany. I find it really informative, however sometimes it isn't perfect :) But after all i stil trust it ;)
We believed it in Thailand and it made us regret a few times:)) But didn't they have picture of it? or did it look different there?:))
it looked really cool on the picture i must say! But i mgiht be the only one who is that dissapointed. I met two ladies near the castle (they were doing some kind of hiking in this area and also went across to see the castle) and told us they absolutely amazed :)
I might consider switching to some other guide if I find one with so many pictures! So far I didn't
