Piracicaba, Bruno's home town has 400000 inhabitants and isn't considered to be a big town taking into account that a population of nearby Sao Paolo is 14 mln! All very tired and hungry we arrived to Piracicaba and immediately went to a barbecue place where Katia, Bruno and other their family members and friends were having dinner and discussing wedding plans for the next day. We joined them and ordered a big grilled fish that was delicious but turned out to be too much despite the fact that we were very hungry.
Bruno explaining telling us about types and names of fishes we are about to choose

Fish is on the table

Eating well and getting know each other

Katia and Bruno who were supposed to get married next day looked very relaxed. They even joined us for lunch next day some hours before their wedding.
This day we slept well, but already woke up at 5 a.m. because of jet lag.
Our Piracicaba's hotel turned out to be very good, good rooms, good service and a very good breakfast.
View from the window of our hotel room
One part of buffet in our hotel. Probably no need to explain why I gained weight in Brazil
We had some hours before meeting for lunch with all foreigner Katia's and Bruno's guests and Katia and Bruno themselves and ask the receptionist what to see in Piracicaba. I am surprised I am actually typing this name without having to look up for it. Took me a while to remember the correct version of the town's name as before I called it Picaraciba, Piracaciba and other imaginable combinations of words you can get using the same letters. The receptionist told us there is a park nearby the biggest Brazilian Agricultural university and that we could have a walk there. It was just 15 min walk from our hotel and once we arrived to the park we had a "walk" in there if you can call it like that. We were climbing the trees, touching different weird looking plants or breaking them in order to find out what is inside, running after birds and taking their photos and basically doing everything what locals would probably never do.
The lunch place was planned at Bruno's aunt's restaurant. Very often or most of the time restaurants in Brazil work in a buffet way: you take whatever you like from variety of dishes and later pay for the weight on your plate. Very good and fair in my opinion. Pity we didn't always chose to go to this kind of restaurants choosing instead "all you can eat" type. Would probably save some kgs of my weight. I must admit I haven't eaten as much in my entire life as I ate in Brazil. But it's not without a reason. Food in Brazil is very good! Very different, tasty, fresh, delicious, and I can use many many other good adjectives to describe it...
After lunch Isis, Olga, Nati and me went to a local beauty salon to get ready for the wedding. At the same time there were many girls inside getting their nails, makeups, hairstyles done. We were told that that day there were 7 brides. Apparently, this beauty salon is very famous in Piracicaba. All the hairdressers were working so fast that it didn't take more than half an hour to fix any kind of hairstyle. To be honest, quality o such hairstyles was proportional to the time they spent doing it, as most of us found it a little undone and nothing like the hairstyles we have chosen from their catalogs. Make-up doing man was also working so fast that most of us got make up done within 10 minutes but this time I quite liked it. When all of us were done with makeups and hairstyles we were ready to go to the wedding.
