Children Christmas Party

It's just one of those days when things go wrong from the very beginning. Mark was supposed to have his Christmas party with local kids from our area. First it was just bad planning of the day and we were running late to the party. The place was unknown to us, so we were not 100% sure about the location. We ended up entering a completely wrong children's party which apparently, was hosted at the same time but in a very close distance from the place where our party was. It didn't strike us immediately that we are in a wrong place. People at that party, though, didn't show any interest in us, so after standing awkwardly at the entrance we figured out it probably wasn't the right party and left.

After a while we found the right place where hosts introduced us around and showed us a dining room saying that it's all self service. We didn't wait long and filled in our plates very soon since we were pretty hungry and went back to the common room where all people were hanging out. I found it a little strange that we were the only ones that were holding plates and eating, but I thought it's probably because everyone else already ate. We arrived late after all. In about half an hour of time the host said that she now welcomes everyone to the dining room to enjoy the food there! What?! Hasn't everyone already eaten? Oh nooo!!! Nobody did, it was just us! :)))

Forgetting this embarrassing moment the party went very well. I was very impressed by how well the event was organized taking into account that it was done by only 2 women who also did cooking for that many people (probably around 35-40 I'd say). There were games and songs, Santa with presents, surprises, decorations and great food. I panic when I have more than 2 guests in my house, what about taking care of 35!
