London marathon

London marathon is a big event which takes place once every year with the primary goal to raise money for different kinds of charities. There were more than 50.000 runners this year who ran 26 mile route. Turns out that the route of runners goes very close to our house. I had no clue that when I came out of the house I would see running people.

The event turned out to be very cool, there was a band playing and singing songs. At the beginning I only saw a few runners, exceptionally fit, I guess probably the best-trained ones. In about 10 minutes of time there was already a crowd of people with practically no distance from each other running all together.  Most of the runners had their names on them, so whenever they were running by people who came to watch marathon would call their names to cheer them up,  say something like "Hey Brian!!!  Come on, you can do it! You are doing great! " This cheers runners up and they would smile back or wave.

To get a better view of coming runners we went up the bridge across the road. The marathon wasn't just all about running, some people were wearing all sorts of funny costumes, some dressed like a cake, rabbit, bear, banana, batman, William and Kate, and so on... so a bit more like an entertainment as well.

And some pictures. Mark wasn't bored either. He found an exciting thing to do he watched bigger boys stepping on the bottles of water and energy drinks thrown by the runners along the road. When he would step on them strong enought they would produce a stream of water coming out of them. A fun thing to do!
