Mark's 3rd Birthday

On Sunday Mark turned 3! This year he was very much aware of his coming up birthday and was very looking forward to it. Our plan to organize birthday picnic in a local park didn't work out, because of very cold and rainy weather so we had no choice but do it at home. I was quite worried because we never hosted any children's party ever before, and especially in a tiny house like ours. There were 5 neighbor kids with their parents. We had no special entrainment but such little things like soap bubbles, balloons blowing, party poppers did the trick, it kept kids occupied. Later kids started playing with toys, there was lots of running in the rooms, upstairs and downstairs, lots of excited screaming, just like I remember how my own childhood parties used to be. Mark got lots of presents, especially cars. In the end there was a cake with Mark's favorite cartoon character and a chocolate fountain which was our wedding present a few years back, but we never had a good occasion to use it before.  Overall I am quite content about the party.
