By many Chinese this place considered to be the most beautiful in China. It is really so amazingly beautiful that the hardest part for me now is to select which pictures to put to the blog. To arrive to that place from Chengdu takes 11 hours by bus and there is no other direct way to reach it. The way could have been very boring and tiring if not beautiful views from the window and bus stops every 1.5 hours.
On almost every stop you see people selling different food and souvenirs. In this region they mostly sell different kinds of nuts because this is the place in China where they grow the best.

On the way to Jiuzhigou we also met very friendly Chinese students (also coming to visit Jiuzhaigou) from Xian who helped us a lot with accommodation and later took us to a very cheap and good food place. In general Chinese people are very friendly with foreigners. If they speak English they could come to you in restaurants/bus or any other place and ask if they can join you. This happened to us many times. Most of them are really helpful, they can tell you the best places to visit, how to get there, where to eat, they even could go there with you, bring you to the taxi and make sure driver understood the place you are going to. It is very important for them that guests would feel good in their country. Dinner with candles.
Candles are light not because we were wanted some romantic atmosphere but because electricity was gone in all the town.
Jiuzhaigou mountain valley covering about 100 extraordinary blue lakes and several waterfalls. It's hard to believe but this place was discovered only in 1972! The valley is quite long, but it is possible to go on foot through all lakes and waterfalls in one day, if you start very early, at 5 or 6 a.m.
Mirror lake is very famous sight in Jiuzhaigou as this is the filming sight for the movie "HERO".
Panda lake. The lake is names after giant pandas who live in wild not far from the valley.
Five colors lake
Long lake is the highest, largest and deepest lake in Jiuzhaigou.
Five-colored pool is a very small and shallow little lake, the level of water in summer is even lower then what you see. It is very cool how after the wind blowing the view of the water changes.
Nourilang falls are 20 m high and considered to be a symbol of Jiuzhaigou.
Some trees grow just inside the water! Pretty unusual!

The place looks very beautiful mysterious. I hope not too many people there. Got worried now about you two after I have read about the earthquake. I hope at the time of it you were already far away!
