After leaving Ipoh, the town where Irmawan lives we went to Perhentian islands. In fact there were just 2 islands, called Big and Small Perhentian. We chose the Big one, it seemed it had wider beaches. We took half an hour boat trip to reach it from the mainland. This is a view of the Long beach from the sea where we stayed for 2 days.

We stayed in a small house, which looks cute from outside, inside it wasn't that nice especially when after coming in the night home to sleep we found a huge cockroach running in our bed. A really huge one and the most disgusting I've ever seen! We spent quite some time hunting this cockroach without any results.
After we arrived to the island we immediately went to swim. The sea with comparison to Penang island was so clear and blue! It was irresistible!

When Andrejs went for a walk in a jungle he saw a very big spider, it was of a size of a hand. After a while he noticed something huge moving in the bushes behind him. It was a huge lizard! Luckily I wasn't with him, I think I would be scared to death, I would think it's a crocodile.

Baywatch :)

Kids and the sea

On the island there was a very cool restaurant, with some great views of the sea, comfortable seats, good sea food and free wireless connection. I can't really think of anything better!
Some views from the top of the restaurant

The beach before sunset

In the very last day in Malaysia before leaving to Singapore our camera broke down. It started to make something very scary out of our faces. I wouldn't recommended to watch the next pictures for very sensitive people.

Oh no! Looks like you dropped your camera.
Island looks very nice. Were you able to sleep that night?
I don't know what happened to it :) But it's weird, camera only works if you set a proper zoom level. If not, then picture either becomes completely white or black or it makes something ugly out of everything :)
We thought we won't be able to fell asleep if we wouldn't find the way to get rid of the cockroach. Above our bed we had a big mosquitoes net, so we put it around our bed in such way that cockroach wouldn't be able to reach us no matter how hard he would try :)
