First ultrasound

Due to different reasons the first ultrasound of the baby was only on my 21 weeks of pregnancy. Before I only heard my baby's heartbeat. We were very worried before seeing our baby for the first time. However the ultrasound doctor was so nice that I felt way less worried than I was before. She said she will examine first our baby's organs and then proceed with the sex of the baby if we want to know. She put some cold jelly on my belly and started examination of baby's baby. During examination the baby was moving by putting his arms above and lower the head. And we saw it! Absolutely amazing :) It was a little surprising to see the baby moving while in reality I didn't feel it at all. After examination of baby's organs the doctor said that now she can tell us what the baby's sex is. The thing is that I couldn't even imagine myself having a girl. From the very start of my pregnancy I felt it is going to be a baby boy and even when we were talking with Andrejs about the baby, we always talked about the baby as a male baby. I am totally not against having a baby girl, in the end it's the same, but my feeling of a baby boy was so strong all the time that if the doctor would have told me that we are going to have a baby girl it, probably, would be pretty shocking. But that was a boy :) Very happy day!
