Seeing the baby kicks from outside

Recently we started to see the baby's kicks from outside. It was pretty surprising when while laying on the back and holding the book on my belly the baby suddenly started to kick in such a way that the book began to jump up. I wanted to show it to Andrejs who couldn't believe me. When Andrejs was watching the baby didn't want to kick the book anymore, but later we definitely saw the kicks coming from the upper belly area. This was about a week ago and it was the first time he started to do so. This week he is much more active, he kicks me thousands of times a day and most of those kicks can be seen. An interesting thing is that we have different sleeping regimes with him, when I am awake he often is asleep and when I am about to fall asleep he starts kicking me quite strongly and frequently. In fact it doesn't hurt at all, it's all very pleasant.
