The city center of Taormina was something I would love to see again, and not once! It's one of the most beautiful cities I have visited. I didn't expect much from it, but once I entered it's city center, I couldn't stop taking pictures.
I don't remember who told me to try Sicilian oranges, but I appreciate the advice. They are really tasty, tastier then those I usually buy. And in general fruits here are very cheap, fresh and soooo good.
I am pretty used to see trees full of fruits even in Bolzano in winter and of cause in Sicily they are everywhere. This tree grew in one of the center squares of the town and Mark was very excited about it, so we spent quite some time playing with it. If you are wondering about the fruits themselves, they were very sour ;)
This is Duomo, a very old cathedral square, build in 13-th century.
A local cat. Didn't mind me taking pictures of him/her, even when I came really close.
This is Sicilian Cannolo (in Sicily just Cannolo) is a traditional Sicilian desert. It is a pastry tube, filled with a sweet, creamy filling. I didn't know that in Sicily they fill it with many different types of creams, unlike Bolzano, where you can only buy it filled with riccota cheese.
There are so many cute streets like that with stairs in Taormina.
And some pictures of the main street of Taormina's city center.
Church in Taormina's main square
And the square itself

Great shots with those stairs. Btw in latvian stairs is a quite a literal meaning word kopti + nesti = kāpnes :).
