Mark

Mark is a big boy now and is already 1.5 years old. He learned many new things. He can play with cars, it is actually his favorite thing. He has already about 10 of them, maybe even more. He calls them "tu-tu". Sometimes he calls them "bi-bi". He also loves music and tries to sing along. He has several favourite songs and whenever he hears them, he starts dancing and turning around. Sometimes when he is impressed by his performance he would clap his hands. In the mornings when I am still asleep and he already woke up he comes to me, takes my hand and makes me go with him to start playing morning cartoons, because that is what he does in the mornings. There are also cartoons he doesn't like to watch. So whenever I am starting the "wrong" one he starts shaking his head, that's when I know I picked the wrong one. Mark also can talk. He can say "auau" when he sees dog, "katis" (means cat in Latvian) when he sees a cat, pi-pi for a mouse, muuuuu for a cow, gaga for birds, baby when there is a small child. He knows what hot means, as whenever he feels there something might be not of a comfortable temperature he would say "karsts", which means hot. He can say bumba, which is a ball in Latvian. Mark also understands well Russian but for the time being prefers to talk in Latvian. Every day Anna (Mark's grandmother) brings him to a local nursery park to play for couple of hours. There Mark also learns English. I can't confirm, but Anna says he understands English too. In the working dyas when it is after 6 p.m. and it is the time for me and Andrejs to come back home from work Mark is waiting for us all the time and keeps repeating mama, papa to his grandmother. He also is quite unhappy when we leave in the mornings so we try to do it quietly when he is still watching cartoons. Mark can show almost all the parts of my face, especially the nose. When I ask him to show where the nose is, he would point at my nose, then at his, and then if Andrejs is around will also point at daddy's nose.
