Iguassu Waterfalls

A few days ago we met Bruno's sister Isis and her boyfriend Danilo who were visiting London for a few days. They both are very lovely people and it was very good to catch up. Made me also remember I haven't processed my numerous Brazilian pictures from Iguassu waterfalls. The fact that there were 450 pictures from just 2 days stay in waterfalls town made me too un-enthusiastic to do anything about them. Today I found some energy and time and deleted most of them by leaving just about 200 which are so much more easy to manage.

Iguassu waterfalls are the most impressive waterfalls I have ever seen. The first day we saw them from Brazilian side which had wonderful views, the weather was sunny, and we even took a boat trip which took us under the falls. Experience of that was something not to forget - absolutely wonderful views when you are near the falls, and absolutely terrifying when you are under them. Our boat made a short turn under the stream of water from the falls and I couldn't see anything, and felt the heavy stream of water coming down my head and only wished for this to be over. The boat did it 3 times! Everyone seemed to be well afterwards apart from one woman who managed to lose her golden tooth, but made everyone laugh when she was telling about it with her toothless smile and holding a golden tooth in her hand.

The next day we went to Argentinean side of the falls. We needed a visa for that, but it didn't take us more than 20 minutes to get it directly at the border. This day was very rainy, and we had to ware raincoats. Argentinean side of waterfalls has less beautiful views than Brazilian side, but certainly not less impressive. This time you could get really close to the falls by following the platform path that would bring you right above the streams of water. One part of the falls we saw that day was called Devil's Throat, owning such name not without a reason. The power and amount of falling water is so huge that we couldn't see anything because of raising streams of it. It also was really loud.

When we were in Foz di Iguassu (a town next to the waterfalls) we also visited birds park which had varieties of different south american birds. We could come very close to some of them. I was really impressed by one which was completely of red color. So so red!

The last thing we did in Argentina was lunch in "all you can eat" with very various and delicious food. This was the last lunch we had all together before flying back home the next day.
